Penn Access (Hunts Point)

The project encompassed the design of four new stations, the addition of two new passenger tracks, a new freight track, and the implementation of new signal systems. It also included the rehabilitation and upgrading of existing drainage systems, alongside the update and installation of new communication systems. This comprehensive transportation project featured the development of new open cut stations and alignments, which incorporated platform overpass entrances, mezzanine back-of-house (BOH) areas, and emergency egress stairs and bridges. The goal was to enhance infrastructure, improve safety, and expand capacity to meet current and future demands.
