Lee Harris Pomeroy, FAIA, RIBA, the founder and design principal of LHP Architects, PLLC, passed away on February 18, 2018. Lee was an innovative architect with a passion for the City of New York and its public institutions. He saw public architecture as one of the profession’s greatest callings and his work reflected this passion and commitment. One of his proudest achievements was his work on historic preservation where he helped redefine how we thought about restoring and using historic public use spaces. His creative spirit and design inspiration will live on at LHP Architects with those of us who worked with him and we will never forget his gentle authoritative voice guiding us.
LHP Architects is continuing its work under the leadership of principals, Antonio Figueroa, AIA, and Bernard Kho, AIA, longtime associates of Lee. The firm is currently designing a wide range of projects in NYC for public schools, transit, and corrections.
